It is continually adjustable throughout its entire range of operation and is fully autoclavable without the need for disassembly or recalibration. This eliminates the need to purchase multiple units for incompatible operations, while ensuring operator safety and laboratory hygiene. The industry-leading accuracy and ergonomic functionality of the best-selling Benchmate pipette have been retained, even while seamlessly incorporating new features that make the Benchmate II the ultimate pipette: unrivalled in safety, ease of use, and accuracy. Enhanced UV resistance: Virtually impervious to the damage inflicted on many pipettes by exposure to microbe-destroying UV light. Improved ergonomics: A superior handle, with a thicker gripping surface and enlarged handle-hook, provides an effortless pipetting experience. The Oxford Benchmate II is available in a wide variety of volume ranges, from 0.1 uL to 10 mL, to meet the needs of any liquid handling application. Piston seals are made of advanced PTFE plastic (polytetrafluoroethylene), which enables the pipette to withstand long periods of operation while maintaining industry-leading accuracy and reproducibility. The Oxford Benchmate II pipette incorporates several pioneering features that minimize operator stress while continuing to deliver the accurate, dependable, and repeatable performance that our customers have learned to rely on. Oxford Benchmate II pipettes are exceptionally lightweight, with a slender, comfortable handle. The Plunger and Tip Ejector Button operate with very low resistance to minimize operator strain and fatigue. Accidental volume adjustment is a problem with many pipettes. This possibility is eliminated by the employment of a unique Lock Lever, which also facilitates fast and easy intentional adjustment. Simply release the Lock Lever and rotate the thumb knob to change the volume setting. The selected volume is clearly indicated by the convenient, easy-to-read digital volume indicator. Filtered barrels for the 1000 uL, 5000 uL, and 10 mL models ensure aerosol-free operation. Organic solvents can be safely pipetted with this instrument with the optional o-ring for organic solvents installed.
